Stone.

One of the most tricky painted papers are the stone patterns, like granite. It needs to be applied many techniques one on another, allowing a wonderful result. Texture resemble the original stone, and it will be painted in many kind of fantasy colors. By the way, I prefer to paint them in natural colors. The fisrt goal is to obtain the right background colors, mixing primary and secondary colors. Then, you need first prepare the paper base with a resist additive, let it dry, and then procede to paint background, and finally you can spatter to get the final look. Here you are four samples of stone papers I've made today.
